The dimensions of the device are 142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9 mm and the weight of it is 152 g. The materials that have been used to design the main body of the device are glass and aluminum. The device is water and dust resistant and is certified for IP 68. Like the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, the rear glass has been curved for firm grip and comfort for the hand. The device is heavier than Samsung Galaxy S6 by 14 g. From a dimension point of view, the device is thicker as well. The back of the device still attracts fingerprints. This is a bit of a disappointment as Samsung has done nothing to improve on the fingerprint marks which were evident also in its predecessor. On the front of the device, the home button has seen an improvement. It feels as if it is clicky this time than its predecessor. The processor that powers the new device is Exynos 8 Octa 8890 SoC, which consists of Octa cores that are capable of clocking speeds of up to 2.3 GHZ. The processor is designed according to the 64-bit architecture and the Graphics are powered by ARM Mali-T880MP14. 

Storage

Built in storage stands at 64 GB, which can be expanded up to 200 GB with the help of a micro SD card.

Camera

The rear camera of the device comes with a resolution of 12 MP, which is expected to improve the pixel size, and is assisted by an LED flash. The aperture of the device is f/1.7, which will help in wide-angle shots. The sensor size of the camera is 1 / 2.5 inches. The camera is also powered by optical image stabilization for quality low light and blur-free images. The front facing camera on the device comes with a resolution of 5 megapixels, which will provide for detailed and clarity filled images. Low light images on the device have seen a vast improvement where the images are color accurate, brighter, and less grainy. The detail of the images will also see an improvement. The autofocus feature uses all the pixels in order to find the perfect focus.

The size of the display is 5.1 inches and the resolution stands at 1440 X 2560 pixels. The pixel density of the display is 577 ppi. The display is powered by Super AMOLED Technology which is known to be a great one. The screen to body ratio of the device is 70.48%. The screen is protected by the scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Processor

The power under the hood is provided by an Exynos 7 Octa 7420  SoC, which consists of an octa-core processor. This processor is capable of clocking speeds of up to 2.1 GHz and the Graphics department is powered by Mali-T760 MP8 processor.

The built-in storage on the device is 128 GB, which is ample storage for a smart device these days.

Although the resolution of the camera has seen a degrade, which will cause a reduction in the detail, the individual pixel size has seen an increase. The low light images have also seen an improvement with the new device.

The new processor on the Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to perform faster and in a more efficient way than its predecessor. It is also faster and will increase the response of the applications that are run. Although the built-in storage on the new device has seen a degrade, the expandable storage feature will help it in the storage department. The memory of the Samsung Galaxy has also seen an improvement, but this may not be that significant as it is more than enough for the applications available these days.
