The distance between Jammu and Srinagar is only 290km. Taxis charge nearly Rupees 6000 for a round trip from Jammu while you can cover this distance by a bus for only Rupees 400. The distance between Delhi and Srinagar by road is 876km. You can take a bus from Delhi that takes around 14 hours to reach Srinagar bus station that is situated at a distance of 12km from the city.
