CBSE or Central Board of Secondary Education, is the primary board of education for school students in India. CBSE conducts national level examinations. It’s a non-governmental council designed according to the New Education policy 1986. Only students from affiliated colleges of ICSE can appear in this examination – private students are not allowed.
Unlike CBSE, ICSE gives equal importance to all subject streams, including Science, Mathematics, Art, Language, and even Humanities. In fact, it offers a wide range of languages, including English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Telegu. However, the mode of examination is English. ICSE also offer creative subjects like home science, agriculture, and art. The syllabus of ICSE is more detailed and comprehensive than CBSE. Furthermore, the teaching methodology is based on the practical application of theoretical concepts and focuses on real-life.
