A lawn is an area covered with regularly mown grass and plants. We usually maintain the grass at a short height with a lawnmower. We do this regularly. Lawns can add beauty and are helpful for recreational purposes. Lawns are also good places for sports such as cricket, rugby, football, and other outdoor activities. They also minimize soil erosion and dust.

There are two types of lawns. They are warm-season lawns, which grow well in summer and are inactive in winter, and cool-season lawns, which grow well in cool temperatures of fall and early spring and are inactive in summer.

Moreover, you can use two types of grasses in lawns. They are warm-season grasses and cool-season grasses. Warm-season grasses are low in sugars and starches and thus, you can use them to feed horses with obesity. Also, there are five types of warm-season grasses: Bermuda grass, St. Augustine grass, Centipede grass, Zoysia grass, and Carpet grass. They start to grow at temperatures above 10 Celcius. These grass grow fast and well between 25-35 Celcius. They are also drought-tolerant and can face high temperatures. In addition, the four types of cool-season grasses are Fescue grass, Kentucky bluegrass, Bentgrass, and Rye grass. Moreover, they start to grow at 5 Celcius and grow well between 10-25 Celcius. Different types of fertilizers are used here, and therefore, you should choose them wisely according to the grass type.

The size of a garden generally decides its usage and display it can have.
