The main difference between season and weather is that the term season describes general weather conditions of a specific region during an average period of three months, while the term weather refers to factors like daily temperature, winds, precipitation, and the amount of sunshine the earth receives.
A season is a division of the year based on changes in weather, and the number of daylight hours in a particular region. Weather, on the other hand, is the state of the atmosphere with respect to temperature, wind, cloudiness, moisture, pressure, etc.

What is a Season
A season is a division of the year based on changes in weather, and the number of daylight hours in a particular region. Seasons are a result of the earth’s changing position with regard to the Sun. In most areas of the earth, there are four seasons in the year: spring, summer, fall/autumn, and winter.
Summer is a warm season since the Sun is high in the sky and give direct light to the ground. This is, in fact, the warmest season of the year. Winter is the coldest season because the Sun is low in the sky, giving indirect light to the ground. The days are shorter in winter and longer in summer. Spring is the season after winter and before summer, in which vegetation begins to appear. Meanwhile, autumn or fall is the season after summer and before winter. The tilt of the earth’s spin axis with regard to the plane of the earth’s path around the Sun causes the changes in the length of the day as well the height of the Sun at noon. At any time, the northern and southern hemispheres have opposite seasons. The beginning and end of seasons have different dates in different countries. In the US, seasons are believed to begin at the solstices and equinoxes.
Tropical and subtropical regions of the earth don’t experience these four seasons. There are only two seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. This is because these regions are close to the equator and receive strong sunlight all year.
What is Weather
Weather is the state of the atmosphere with respect to temperature, wind, cloudiness, moisture, pressure, etc. It is basically what you see outside on any particular day. Weather can change from minute to minute, hour to hour or daily. Rain, sunshine, cloud, winds, snow, fog, etc. are common weather patterns. Natural disasters such as tornadoes, typhoons, hurricanes, and ice storms are also effects of weather. Factors like temperature, air pressure, and moisture differences between places cause changes in weather.
Weather can be forecasted by collecting meteorological data like humidity, temperature, air pressure, wind directions, and speed, etc. The study of weather is known as meteorology.
Difference Between Season and Weather
Definition
A season is a division of the year based on changes in weather, and the number of daylight hours in a particular region. Weather, on the other hand, is the state of the atmosphere with respect to temperature, wind, moisture, pressure, etc.
